To our Turkish parents and Turkish-American Youth,
Education is the golden key to success. As a first generation Turkish American, I realized the lack of knowledge available for our children to succeed academically here in the states. At a very young age, my brother and I helped each other apply for Financial Aid, receive scholarships and obtain acceptances into top colleges. Today, as I finish my second Masters from Columbia University, I have taken the initiative to pass my knowledge onto our Turkish American youth.
Recently, I have contacted SUNY and CUNY representatives to obtain information and brochures regarding how we can have our young adults succeed academically in America. I have also obtained brochures from The Turkish Coalition of America who is looking for exceptional Turkish American students in order to award them with scholarships. Along these resources, I am here to help our youth understand the psychological and social adjustments necessary to become successful individuals. I encourage our parents AND students to contact me for further information and to look out for my upcoming seminars in regards to obtaining acceptances into college.
